Northward Bound

We made a weekend visit to Northern Idaho to visit Brianne, Corey, Dominik and Autumn.

We went to the Elk River area for a little fishing.

Autumn was a more interested in throwing rocks in the water than fishing.

She was pretty happy to share the feathers she found.

Is it just me or can you imagine just what Dom will look like
as an old man fishing by the lake?

Everyone got in on the action,

but most of the fish that were caught were like this green guy.

Corey actually caught two trout that were kept.
But I didn't manage to record those.

Here are my obligatory flower/flora shots.

And some water/reflection shots I thought turned out kinda cool.

Dom got a little bored with the fishing business...

He climbed rocks.                                                                            Jumped off of Rocks.

Picked up rocks.

Threw them left handed.
 And right handed.

And both handed.

Exhausting work which required some quick energy via a huckleberry cone.

Autumn opted for the this reliable energy source.

And should you need a soda powered boost there was even some huckleberry options.
I am personally not a fan of soft drinks but if I were,
huckleberry would likely be the drink of choice.

We spent time on some other activities.
Just think how well she'll hit once she learns which end of the bat to use.

Autumn also spent considerable time climbing and
Dom was busy killing angry birds and zombies.

 Driving practice.

Dom perfecting his balance skills.

It was a quick trip and we saw and did a lot.

Grandchildren are the flowers in the garden of life.

Ok.
That's cheesy,
but I LOVE to see the grandbabies.

I was totally on board until that" flowers of life bit. "

(:

The multiple hand throwing made me smile, and your flower shots and reflections are beautiful. Were all the flowers wild? If so, some cultivated lupine has gone feral in northern Idaho. Could be. It is the bane of New Zealand. Beautiful but they hate it.

Glad you get chances to see all those grandbabies.

Yeah. That's what happens when you try to tie in a few last minute images in a hurry.

Those were "wild" lupine growing alongside the water. I thought of you and lupine images of New Zealand when I took those :0)
