White Christmas Eve

We woke up to a lovely snowfall this morning

So, Chuck immediately broke out the snow blower and set to work.
It's a manly pursuit, so he was totally in his element.
Til a belt busted and he did the REAL manly hand shoveling that is.

Corey, Brianne, 'Dominik & Autumn arrived on Friday evening to spend Christmas with us!

.
This morning Autumn needed a little help cooling down her eggs so mama pitched in.

Dom & Autumn didn't want to just watch Grandpa
so the application of massive amounts of snow clothing began.
Autumn isn't too sure about the tightness of that bear cap under her chin,
but Dom is perfectly satisfied with his Angry Bird apparel.

The first venture out into the blinding white appears to be a hit.
Dom discovered a dinosaur "egg" and Autumn is in love with the fluffy stuff.

Dom made his first snow angel and played angry bird snowplow eating snow as you go.

He liked it so much he repeated the process multiple times.
Note the frozen hat ties.

.

Grandpa Chuck got out the Chuckmobile and some sled action ensued.
Dom was the first to go.
Grandma & Autumn were up next. Then it was all three piled together all cozy like.
Well, as cozy as one can get with snow flying up in your face.

You know how there gets to be a snow overhang with a metal roof?
Best to remove it before it goes down your neck.
Other than that the snow has been a hit.

 Autumn loves it.
Didn't want to come in even though her hands were like popsicles.

And Dom would still be out there if we hadn't lured him in
with a chance to play angry birds.

On another note...

I have apparently lost the ability to make any sort of bread from scratch.
Here is the epic fail with the "no fail" recipe my friend gave me.

Not bad if you happen to like a massive leaden, ball of flour and yeast in your gut.

This arrived in the mail just after those heavy gutballs rolled out of the oven,

and helped to lessen the feeling of failure.

Besides look how good Chuck and I look!

And this from my wild boys in VA..

Hug hands on ribbon :0)
Decorated just for me.

And here's a wise man just in time for Christmas.

Ahhh...
I love my grandkids.

Autumn's eyes take up her whole face! Those are some big ol eyes! How fun to get snow for Christmas. There was a brief moment that they were forecasting snow after Christmas here but not anymore. Too warm. Looks like lots of fun though!

Oh that is ton of snow! We need to come and go sledding at your place!
What fun to have them there. I love the art work.

Autumn does indeed have some Cindy Lou Who eyes!
I'll bet she uses them to full advantage. (:

Snow? It is all so abstract! Looks like it really made some fun for all though.
Chloe's drawing is soo cute! That and the hugs from Virginia must have cheered you on.

Mr. Lincoln is a mighty regal wiseman... ahem.. boy.

Hope you enjoy your days with family!
