I have been getting headaches pretty much everyday by the end of the day. I figured out it was the weight of my hair. No. Seriously. I know I don't have super thick hair or anything, but the length of it was adding up. And I can't really wear it down or I get such hot flashes I'm in danger of spontaneous combustion. This picture was taken today when the headache was building so I took my hair down and decided to opt for the combustion possibility.
I either wore my hair up in a twist on the side of my head or in a long braid. Stylish I know. Pretty much the stereotype of the conservative Christian woman except without the long plain dresses or the subservient attitude. But, I AM Christian. I'm still not sure what the whole long hair thing has to do with those Christian sects... Anyone know? Anyone care?
When I decided that I would need to eliminate some weight I figured I might as well take enough to put it to good use. So, I did the locks of love thing.
I think the stylist took a bit more than the prerequisite 10 inches. But the last few inches were a little thin anyway. Then of course she had to trim it up where she had cut it. So that was another couple inches.But here are the results.
Well, at least the best I could get holding the camera at arms length with bifocals.
It feels really light. And rather weird. But, I think I'll like it.
Either way. It's gone now baby!
