This and That

I kept thinking that I would get a chance to make a post about at least one of my talented, creative, intelligent and wonderful sisters…But, instead I spent the week getting stuff ready for my sub and finishing Christmas gifts, visiting teaching and other such nonsense. Now I am home and on the S_L_O_W___ internet and don’t think I’ll have the patience to wait for the pics to load. We’ll see…
Anyway, I wanted to show off my amazing crocheted hat that I got for my b-day, courtesy of my youngest sister. I LOVE IT! It is warm and it fits my enormous noggin- no small feat that. Plus, it is crazy soft and it reminds me of the kind, creative, generous, and ever so talented person who crafted it. I showed it to Tyson today when he was here and I’m pretty sure he coveted it (even though we both know that coveting is a sin:)
Also, I promised Kelsey, Miss C and Jenette that I would post some pics of “the wall” now that it has actual pictures in the frames. The photos are from places that Chuck and I know and have visited on one or more occasions. Some of the photos are mine but many are courtesy of the same talented person who made my hat. So, slow internet permitting I will post pics of all of that. So, the first photos shows the entire wall, the second and third are close ups of the two large photo frames. Note my festive little greenery around the banaster. Oh yeah, I'm all over that!

It was really fun having Ty and Angel here for the weekend. Angel is doing an amazing job teaching her 4 graders and under less than optimal conditions. She is in a grade school that has over 11,000 students. Hers is one of 4- fourth grade classes. They brought me a rather awesome b-day gift when they came, it is very "Tyson". I will post a pic of it sometime soon. I think I’m going to have to use it as a traveling object a la “Amelie” style. I won’t tell what it is just yet, I’ll just begin to slip it in with some photos and see who will be the first to identify said object.
It may take me a while to get around to those postings as I am going in for some surgery tomorrow. It is for some work on my “innards”, as someone said to me” It’s a 100.000 mile tune up. "If all goes well, I’ll be good for another 100,000. I had Chuck and Tyson give me a blessing today and feel better now, but would still welcome any prayers on my behalf. I should be home by the end of the day assuming everything goes as planned. I am off of work for 3 weeks and can’t do anything strenuous for a total of 6 weeks. So much for my running program and I was doing pretty well too… I have backlog of DVD’s to watch and a few good books, not to mention the fact that I’m “supposed” to be teaching Illustrator – so it would be a good thing to know how to do something more than just open the program. So hopefully I will manage to keep from going stir crazy.
Well, that’s enough excitement for one post. Plus, I've reached my limit for slow downloading objects....

I must agree the hat is stunning. (he, he, he) (:
But truly the wearer is what makes it nice. Now the wall.... that looks fab! I bet everyone who visits takes some time to check it out.

I hope you are doing great today. no lifting, straining, etc!!!
