Ah HA! The Green Getup!

Well, I know many of you have been breathlessly waiting a view of the "infamous" St. Paddy's outfit that went missing for ...years? Alicia sent me a pic from her Halloween party. As I believe I mentioned previously, I did NOT iron it and it is missing the original hat, green socks and cane. But, you get the general effect - one chubby ole lady decked out in all her greenery complete with shamrock spectacles. Yeah, I know. You want an outfit just like that... I was especially proud of the glittery, poofy green fabric paint shamrocks on the vest, waist and cuffs. Sweet shamrocks indeed...

I absolutely love this costume. Especially the green shamrocks that fit on your glasses. You look so cute too! How fun!! And yes I was breathlessly awaiting this picture. Glad you had such a good time. What did Chuck dress up as?

That's so cute!! My dad said you wore it to Drew and Alicia's party. He didn't dress up though darn it. I don't think he has ever dressed up, even when I was a kid. Maybe we'll get him next year!

Actually Chuck was wearing his Army PT clothes and when asked he said he was "pretending to be physically fit". He passed his PT test and weigh in on Sat., so I'd say he wasn't having to pretend too hard.

OH the missing hat, I remember it well. The costume is charming without however. I think next time you wear it you might consider a pot of gold coins?
Perhaps a bottle of whiskey?
I'm glad the costume box emerged from behind the freezer. Now in say 5 or 6 years that watercolor might show up.

To o'the mornin' to ye then lassie! Awesome costume. I was waiting breathlessly. I suppose I should see if I can track down a picture of my "Black-eyed P" costume to share but it would never stack up to yours. I think your looking quite svelte myself. And green is not a bad color on you (but maybe not in such concentrated amounts!)

And since you asked before, you do need to do something different with your hair. That scraped back look does not do you beauty justice! (And I truly think you're beautiful--I always have.)
