I'm SOOO smart!

So, I was going to be all clever and update my blog while I was in printing out the newsletter because of the fast connection to internet at school. But, that would have required me to actually remember to bring in the photo files that I wanted to post as well. Yeah well, I DID remember to bring in the tile saw blade to exchange, the flash drive with the newsletter on it, the list with all the things I need to do, my sunglasses, the binder with info, my keys for school, my purse, my lip balm, my cell, a card to mail, and a bottle of water. Aargh!!! And I have a TON of nifty photos to post too – Pictures of Jaron getting whipped by Jenette on the Wii (is that how you spell it?), a sneak preview of Evan Almighty from the balcony of cool old movie theater, our great hike to the 66 foot cascade falls, our jaunt to D.C., the temple, lots of good food. It was a FANTASTIC time!! I hated to leave- and at 4 am when we had to get up to go to the airport I REALLY hated it! I had such a great time with those two. I still am gloating that I have seen their new place and Morgan has not!! Ha! (I’m sure he will plan a trip to see them just to stop my smugness :0)
The trip back was kind of long with the already scheduled 2 ½ hour layover in Chicago being extended another hour and a half due to some United person pushing the wrong button and messing up their flight computers for the entire airline for 2 hours. I felt badly that Scott had to take time out of his busy day to come and fetch me from the airport. He even gave me a lovely slice of Ann’s delicious homemade rhubarb/berry pie! Yum!!!
Since I’ve been back it has been pretty darn busy as well. We are leaving tomorrow morning to go to the cabin for our “big” stay. Chuck has promised that this time we will work a day, and then play a day. We have the canoe loaded as well as the 4 wheeler, so we have some options. I’m excited about the canoe as we have never been out on it even though he’s had it since way before we got married. There are lots of lakes and rivers by the cabin so we should have some decent options. Chuck has been reading some water “hikes” books so I’m sure he has something in mind. I hope the weather won’t be too hot up there. I’m not such a big fan of the heat. Then when we get back I’ll turn around and get ready for the Vaden get together up Wildhorse the next week. No time for me to even get into trouble eh?
I guess I’d better get to that list of to-do’s so I can get ready for the trip tomorrow. Let’s just pretend that I actually DID remember to bring the photos and picture lovely waterfalls, Jaron in pain over being beaten by a girl (did I mention that I too actually beat him at Wii bowling? So, not only did he get beat by a girl, but by his mother, his OLD mother….), photos of lush VA greenery….let’s just leave it at that and then once I get my act together you can see how well the photos compare to your imagination.
