Top o the Mornin!!

For the last 4 (5?) years I have been mourning the loss of my spectacular green leprechaun suit complete with glittering suspenders, green socks and shoes . It went missing along with many of my other favorite costumes and I could only assume that “somehow” it got carted out with other boxes whilst we were eliminating and paring down the ever multiplying mountain of “Stuff”. I don’t know how many hours I spent looking for said box, but I finally gave up last year after searching the entire house. I REALLY wanted to wear it as it was dress up day at school and a Friday to boot. I finally chalked it up to another one of those things I put in a “special” place. I was a bit bitter to say the least.
Well, the remodel project has reconfigured the house (hence the use of the word re-model:0) and when we moved the freezer from it’s spot under the stairs to remove the stairs them…Lo and behold about 13 boxes of “stuff” tucked in the recess! And yes, you guessed it, the missing box of costumes (along with Drew's missing TV and even MORE boxes of sports trading cards! – I hate to think about how much money was invested in those and storing them all these years… but I digress…). Here’s the irony – I can’t wear the costume to school for at least two years as this year it’s on Saturday, and unless next year is leap year? It will fall on a Sunday. And it’s anyone’s guess whether I will be able to find said item of clothing in two years – let alone fit into it!!! Ahh well…Happy St. Patrick’s Day anyway!!!
I posted the picture of the not so Irish, but ever so cute Miss Chloe in her green tam (courtesy of her auntie Cerese) in the spirit of all things green. Actually, it’s just an excuse to see Chloe for me and I had promised Cerese I would send her photos. So, the moral is, there IS hope for some things gone missing or put in “special” places – Now, if I could just find the watercolor of the iris I put someplace “special” last June…I’m still looking Miste!

She IS cute as a bug but she sure likes sticking her tongue out. I haven't lost hope on the iris painting yet!

I don't believe these glittery suspenders exist and demand that you take a picture of yourself all done up and post it on here!!! :) I am glad to hear you found your costume box. I think you should bring it out here this summer so we can have fun embarassing Jaron in public!

I'm so happy to have you as a blog buddy! I miss you! I have also been bragging to Robby about what an awesome artist you are so if you could post one of your drawings or even a doodle, I would love it.
