Flashback...

Better late than never right?!?

This is a long overdue post from our trip to California for Thanksgiving.
Drew and Alicia live just a half block from Santa Monica Blvd,

which was resplendent with blooms.

We could tell we had the right house.

and inside was this little munchkin.

Korven was concerned about how to keep us entertained.

But he was ready to drive us someplace fun.
(Safely of course- note the fastened seatbelt.)

He made sure his lil sis wasn't left behind.
He's very thoughtful.

Where did we go?

Someplace with cool big leaves.

for which Miss Eliana was suitably impressed.

It was a place with lots of art... Korven was kind enough
to explain some of the finer points to Chuck.

For others he had no words.

Some were very expressive.

Whimsical.

Classic.Korven takes his art knowledge seriously.
Drew, not so seriously.

But Korven won him over.

Eli was a quiet observer.

Look it's me and mom!

That art business is tiring.
(We were at the Getty museum and it was really fantastic.)
Guess where else we went?
To the Premier of the Muppet Movie!

Oh yeah...

we also went to the beach for some low tidepool action,
some cool seaweed in view

And some seagull watching.

Once again Korven was very helpful pointing out the sights.
And there were plenty of lovely things to see.

Drew and Alicia made an impressive sand castle.
Chuck and I just looked impressive...
impressively goofy, that is.

It was a good to be there.

When you get to see grandchildren it's always good.
Thanks Drew and Alicia for a lovely visit.

I'd forgotten you guys went down there.
How fun to see the grandbabies. They are sooo similar. Boy version..girl version.
Cuties.

I've only been to the Getty once and I really did enjoy it. Don't remember a thing I saw now.. but I like it then.
Anyway... who is brave enough to take little ones that age to a museum?
They must be super mellow kids... or drugged up....parents?

(:

How funny. Who would have know it was back in Thanksgiving that you visited them? You could have just pretended it was more recent and no one probably would have know. Another fun trip for Karen & Chuck. Cute, cute kids. You can definitely tell the Korven belongs to Drew. Fun to see them
