TablRock Hike

This was the goal. Having hiked this several years ago and barely making it I was a tad apprehensive, what with the altitude sickness problems I've experienced the last couple of years.
Apparently Chuck's idea of encouragement for taking on a 16 mile hike into the oxygen deprived hinterlands is a clenched fist aimed in the general direction of the face.
Thanks.
It was an amazingly gorgeous morning.
Because of all the rain we've had the greenery and flowers were lush and breathtaking.

And these flowers were taken before I knew about the camera's macro capabilities.

There were some lovely falls of water.
My goal was to make it to the tree line. I opted out when I started to get a headache after about 6 miles. I grabbed some shade and read a book while Chuck, Jeff and Toni did the last two miles to the top. It took us about 10 hours round trip. We were tired, but not too sore. And now Chuck can mark another thing off his bucket list!
