Grads aren't half bad!

After putting up the art show at the mall til late on Wed night, and doing pr at the mall for the show all day Thursday I headed down that evening to go to Tyson's convocation on Friday morning. The convocation began at 8am, so we headed out early.

Cheers to Tyson the graduate!
The convocation actually went pretty fast considering all the people in that particular group of graduates. Here's the happy little family afterwards in front of the Wilkinson Center where his convocation was held. Check out the groovy moccasins on Lincoln. They're amazing! They're soft and NEVER fall off! Impressive. Now, here's what happens when you try to take some quick shots... Those aren't hastily applied hair ornaments on Angel's head, not to mention the white dome cap she's sporting. (Sorry Angel) and note the binky falling out of Lincoln's mouth...
Poor Lincoln kept falling asleep and waking up, falling asleep, waking... but was pretty even tempered and really didn't make much of a fuss. Till a little later...

Here's the grad and his short madre.
Hard to believe that my eyes could actually be getting even more deep set,
but pictures don't lie, eh? No clue how to photoshop those peepers out of my skull.

Ok. I'm claiming that it was all that bright light in our eyes.

Look out, somebody's reaching the end of their patience...
approaching that "later" I mentioned...

I have to say though, he only fussed for a little bit.

It just happened to be at the tail end of when we took pictures.

OK. Ok. I surrender!

He's actually a very mellow baby who loves to talk and has a very expressive face.

And a killer wide mouth smile!

Awww! He's adorable

It was a super day! We had a tasty lunch at the Pizza Factory with grandpa Todd, then he left for Moab and some biking. Lincoln and I shared some quality time in the backseat of the car while Tyson and Angel drove around looking at houses. Tyson has accepted an offer from the company he's been working with. So they'll be staying in the area for a while at least. (Within driving distance!!! WooHoo!) I'm so happy for them; graduation, new baby, new careers. It was indeed a good day.

I came home and promptly came down with the flu. Yep. I'm cool that way.

Great minds think alike! I was going to type in EXACTLY what Celiac said WORD FOR WORD. Wow. How weird. That Lincoln is a little cutie. I can definitely see some facial resemblance to his dad at that age--although maybe not quite as goofy (must be Angel's influence). How exciting to be hitting so many life milestones at once. Your 20s what a great time of life. It will only get getter though!
