(Another story for another day.)Arrived at our lovely hotel.
Check out the white beaches and aqua water....

After we checked out the beach we grabbed something to eat. Delicious fajitas
(Actually, these are desserts - payapa mousse and coconut cake- but we didn't take any pictures of the drinks and the desserts look like drinks.)

(Ok, we didn't eat all that food the first night. These are pics from the entire stay.)
Laid around a fair amount.
Read 4 complete books! Not an audio one amongst them.
This is a "sinkhole" that we stopped at before we went to the ruins. It is something like 80 ft. from the rim to the water. Those are tree roots going from the surface down to the water. Though we had our suits we opted not to jump in as we only had 40 minutes total at the stop.
Check out the little dancer that entertained us during lunch. She started with one bottle on her head, and worked her way up to the bottle, glasses and tray you see her sporting here.

(Look! I got a shot without tourists! I know. I'm special.)

Here's the hoop about 20 feet off the ground where players had to get the "ball" through with their hip, shoulder, head or feet. The ball was about the size of a basketball (maybe slightly smaller) and the hoop is quite a bit smaller than a basketball hoop. 14 people started out. At the end one person was declared "it" and got their head lopped off.
Takes the meaning of playing to win to a new level eh?
Practiced my Spanish and haggled with vendors. This little lady was maybe 4 feet tall.
Selling little handkerchiefs for one dollar, one dollar...

Ate some more DE- light- ful food! The best meals we had were at the hotel. This little lady,Candita made some of the best Italian pasta either of us have ever had.
Took less photos overall than usual, but still got PLENTY. I guess WAS on vacation.
Then we got up at 4am to start out trip home. Spent 21 hours getting back to SLC. We had MANY delays. USAirways is NOT on my list of favorites at the moment.
Came back to, you guessed it ANOTHER snow storm!

We got back in time for Lincoln's blessing. And that's what I'll be posting about next...
This was WAY too long. But, doesn't even scratch the surface of the pics I took.
Consider yourself lucky,eh?

Wow, great pics. I am very jealous. Looks like you had a fabulous time. I would much rather be on the beach than sitting next to some jackass talking on one of those annoying ear-piece cell phone accessories (thats what I'm doing now). Look forward to hearing about everything from you soon.
Much Love,
jaron
Sounds/Looks absolutely DREAMY! thanks for sharing...I am ready for sunshine to be here to stay, but only 70-80 degrees....and the food, I am salivating...can I put in an order?
I've been waiting for these. Sooo very jealous. Not of the beach or the food.. but the Maya!!

You're so lucky! That looks like loads of fun. And that food looks delicious. Glad to hear you had fun and I will have to see all the pics next time I visit.
Well now, that was just cruel...to dangle all that white sand, aqua colored water, yummy food, hanging out on the beaches, seeing cool stuff in front of my nose :( Looks like you two had a very enjoyable time...definately makes me want to go all the more.
