I'm peeved. Apparently there is something sinister and potentially dangerous about blogspot. Who knew? The powers that be have blocked it from our webserver at work. I understand their stance for myspace, what with impressionable and vulnerable youth and all. Apparently there is much more to this evil site than I am aware of... and no I don't really want to know. It's not all about checking up on family blogs (though I DO love to do that.) There are a number of sites that have tutorials that I could (did) use for teaching... Or not. ....Sheesh!

One day, out of sheer boredom, I hit the "next blog" button at the top of the screen and it took me to a random different blog everytime I hit it. I stumbled across some VERY inappropriate material that day, and I'll never venture off like that again. I had no idea posting stuff like that was even legal. So maybe it's sick people like THAT who are the motivation for blocking the website entirely. I would be frustrated as well, though.

Funny, Tucker's CC teacher has a blog that had required reading for her student's. There's always somebody out there who misuses the internet. Blogs are blocked at our school to but you can get around it by using Google--hows that for security. Actually you can get around just about anything the District blocks by using Google.
