If I Could Hold Time In a Bottle...

So, what the heck?!? (or what the hack? as Miss Chloe says) I have to go back to work on Monday? What happened to summer!?!

Oh yeah. I packed it to the gills with trips, activities and "stuff". Good stuff mind you, but packed nonetheless. I AM bitter that they are starting us back a full ten days earlier than in years past. It's all the fallout from the No Child Left Behind business. And don't even get me started on that!
It's been so fun to have Kelsey and the girls here. They have all done really well considering all the traveling and new, strange (to them) places they've been the last two weeks.

So here are a few highlights of our adventures.

Leyla demanding attention from cousin Dominik and helping Rick play the guitar. She manages to get anyone who's around to pick her up and do her bidding. Like I said before it's got something to do with those big brown peepers of hers. Auntie Ann helps with the swing, grandma W. feeding her, grandpa W. allowing her to crawl all over him, cuddling with mama and being floated around by cousin Mary.

Then there's Miss Chloe working her magic with Grandma and grandpa V., and sitting on the beach with cousin Chantry. She also really enjoys some of the little animal toys and the dollhouse that her mom used to play with. She's putting the kitty down for a nap and then taking one herself after all her activities.
Those girls are non-stop, fighting sleep, energizer bunnies.

Great pictures. Wish our travels would have crossed with the girls too. You have my empathy on the school thing. I started back on Wednesday. It stinks!

What absolutely adorable girls. Karen, I love your blog. I read it often after work and it just makes me smile! What an amazing summer you had. In Arizona the schools starts August 10 - so early! The kids hate it. The university starts early too... Bummer.

Cutest grandkids ever. Love your pictures and stories as always. You really have been busy "Crazy Lady" I am sad that school is back in, but for a different reason. I just lost my best help!! Aaron says "you mean you will actually have to do something" He got smacked for it of course, but it was part true. My girls help a ton!! I am sorry that I didn't get back with you!! You would think that three weeks would leave ample time to get everything in. In my defense Desiree and Elleree were sick a majority of the time. I will have to correlate a little better next time.
