Pumpkined out

Ahhh, what a cute lil pumpkin.

Yea, that's what I thought after making about the 10 of them. By the time we got to 100th one, I wasn't "quite" as wild about the whole deal. I think I would be more thrilled with all the virtue project things we're doing if I didn't have so many other things going on and due at the same time. Yesterday I had 5 - count em 5! big documents that were due in order for me to continue to get state funding for my computer programs. The frustrating thing is that it is all busy work, justifying some dude's job at the state - who is justifying someone's job at the national level. Ahh well... nobody likes a whiner. So, other than continuing to be behind with too many things to do all at once. I'm swell!

I AM excited about the big pumpkin drop that the committee kids and I set up. Next week on the 31st, 10 people will get their name drawn to go up in a fire truck "cherry picker" thingy (that thing that lifts you way up in the air?) And they will get to drop a big ole bad attribute pumpkin to the ground below. The title of the activity it "Pick up the Good - Drop the Bad." All the staff got one of the "cute lil pumpkins" and then there are 5 huge, gnarly pumpkins with bad attributes on them.To get their name's in the box they must be nominated by a student or staff member who has seen them demonstrating a positive virtue - helpfulness, kindness, caring etc. I think it will be a lot of fun.

Sheesh, I hope someone nominates me so I have a chance to go up. Maybe I can sweet talk the fire department to let me go up first with a megaphone to announce the winners or something.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Well, I have to go and get more "stuff" done. And I have a feeling I've done enough belly aching for one day.
